Does the TurbowSpeed increase the poundage?
No. If the TurbowSpeed is set correctly it there is no increase in the poundage. A 60lb bow is till a 60lb bow. If the TurbowSpeed is set to far forward, then the poundage is increased, but this position actually has a negative impact on the bow's performance and the arrow speed is actually reduced when compared to the TurbowSpeed set in the correct position..
Does the TurbowSpeed increase the draw length?
No, the draw remains the same. In fact, it has been suggested that the draw length can be lengthened by changing the modules and this will achieve the same result. But that is not so. A longer draw does not produce the same results as the TurbowSpeed.
Do I have to use a different shaft length or a different weight shaft?
No. Use whatever arrows you are currently using.
Is the TurbowSpeed Safe?
Safety is always an issue and every precaution has been used to make sure that TurbowSpeed is safe to use. High quality materials have been used throughout to make sure the TurbowSpeed lasts and does not disintegrate in use.
The concerns expressed by many center on the issue of either the TurbowSpeed coming loose on the cable rod, or the cable rod detaching from the body of the bow. In either case TurbowSpeed could be propelled towards the archer and the archer could suffer injury. To prevent this from happening the TurbowSpeed is fitted with a safety device that prevents it from becoming detached from the cables. Should the TurbowSpeed come loose from the cable rode, or the cable rod detach from the body of the bow, the TurbowSpeed will remain attached to the cable and will not be able to reach the archer's body.
If I use the TurbowSpeed, does it void the bow manufacturer's warranty?
As the TurbowSpeed does not structurally alter the bow or change the way the bow flexes, we do not believe it would effect your bow's manufacturer's warranty, but you may wish to check with your bow manufacturer to make sure.
If I use the TurbowSpeed, will it damage the 3/8" cable rod?
The TurbowSpeed is secured to the cable rod using two set screws. If the screws are over tightened, or if the TurbowSpeed is mounted and dismounted on a regular basis the set screws could mark the rod. But the TurbowSpeed is mounted forward on the rod past the position at which the cable slide normally rests. When the bow is drawn, the cable slide moves to the rear of the bow away from the TurbowSpeed and away from any marks that may be left by the TurbowSpeed set screws. In fact, after the TurbowSpeed is attached to the rod, the cable slide can be remounted and used without removing the TurbowSpeed.
Can I use the TurbowSpeed on a Mathews or Bowtech bow that has a cable guard?
No. Not at this time, but we will have a TurbowSpeed that can be used on these bows by the summer of 2009. |
